A French Bulldog for Every Season

French Bulldogs have been the inspiration for artists for hundreds of years and they have certainly inspirited ME! I was amazed by how few books were devoted to this wonderful breed when I started working on my first book in 2003. Therefore, I set out to capture the essence of the French Bulldog character in all its many moods: the Frenchie at play, the Frenchie having fun, the Frenchie at rest, and the Frenchie being a dog - all in a lifestyle atmosphere.

During the adventure and the creation of this first book of the series, I photographed more than 100 French Bulldogs in both the United States and Canada combined. If you are new to this breed, I hope my pictures will give you a good sense of the French Bulldog character. And if you are amongst the fortunate to be “owned by a Frenchie,” I hope my photos make you smile and nod in agreement.

The Heart Thieves, Enchanting French Bulldog Puppies

The sweetness of the little ones seemed to come up quite often in discussions or through email from the readers of my first book, A French Bulldog for Every Season. So, I decided it was time to create a new book. My goal with this book was to capture the character of these tiny French Bulldogs - their spunkiness and their wonderful sweetness - and to show how having on is in itself a reason for celebration. Because they are, forever, “thieves of your heart”. Enjoy!
